The following are samples of my designs for corporate websites, PPC landing pages, HTML emails, and PPC ads, as well as the role I played in each. Additional samples are available upon request.

  • Corporate Websites
    • RedWeek.com

      From the founders of ClassMates.com, RedWeek.com is the largest online timeshare marketplace. As Senior Web Designer I am responsible for all front-end code and graphics. The site features a pure, cross-browser CSS/XHTML fluid design, and advanced JavaScript (jQuery). I am part of a dynamic team distributed around the country, utilizing SCRUM methodology and CVS version control.

    • BabyBlogger.com

      Where parents create secure, advertising-free websites for their babies. The application enables them to share digital photo albums, journal entries, baby's milestones, guestbook and more. BabyBlogger.com is entirely my own concept, and I am the front-end developer and project manager. It's built using Ruby on Rails, and features pure CSS/XHTML design, advanced JavaScript (Jquery), AJAX, and SVN version control.

    • SmithBarney.com

      SmithBarney.com is an award winning site for the global financial instituion CitiGroup, and for which I was a senior web designer. In this role I created page layouts, user interfaces, static graphics, Flash animations, XHTML/CSS, and JavaScripts. Additional responsibilities included working with content stakeholders to develop engaging web pages and graphics.

    • MakeYourOwnYogurt.com

      CSS/XHTML, PHP/MySQL online tutorial that teaches users to make their own home-made yogurt, with step-by-step instructions and photographic examples. I wrote all of the content, took and manipulated all of the photographs, designed and coded all of the pages, and wrote the required PHP code. It is the #2 ranked organic result in Google for "make yogurt" and "how to make yogurt".

  • PPC Landing Pages
    • Timeshare Rentals

      This page receives traffic for the PPC keywords "timeshare rentals", which is a primary service provided by RedWeek.com. It has consistently out-performed other interior pages and landers in head-to-head test for registrations, conversions to membership, and overall revenue.

    • Timeshare Exchange

      This page receives traffic for various PPC keywords associated with timeshare exchange, and RedWeek's primary competitors RCI and II. It's tight focus on the transparency and flexibility of RedWeek Exchange has proven this lander to be far more effective than any other page.

  • HTML Email

Michael has excellent overall design skills and is a very talented CSS/XHTML designer. Many web designers even with a good sense of design fall short of making a strong design statement using mainly CSS and XHTML. Michael has that ability which he displayed over and over again while working at Citigroup. Wonderful client skills — a client favorite, it was a pleasure working with him.
